Malibu

Spanning for more than 26 miles along the Pacific Ocean, Malibu has achieved nearly mythological status amongst California beach towns. From Hollywood stars and top athletes to Corporate Leaders all calling Malibu home. Lesser known is the fact that Malibu real estate also includes condos as low as $500,000, canyon homes for $1m to $5m, and of course those world famous $10m - $100 million + estates.

Surfing is one of Malibu’s well known attributes including Malibu’s Surfrider Beach, just off the Malibu Pier; Zuma Beach; and in the winter, Point Dume, at Malibu’s north end, where locals and visitors can enjoy migrating gray whales.

The Getty Villa is the original home of the Getty Museum, featurng Ancient Greek and Roman Art. For beachy masterpieces, check out the historic surfboards dating back to the 1910s at Pepperdine University’s Payson Library, Surfing Museum.

Enjoy lunch on Malibu Pier at Malibu Farms, an organic café and restaurant. Or try Malibu Seafood which sits across from Dan Blocker Beach. Malibu is also home to Billionaire’s Beach, Carbon Beach, made what it is today by David Geffen.

Malibu also offers some of the best hiking and biking trails through the Santa Monica Mountain’s. “The Gorge” in Malibu Creek State Park is one such hike; a little walking, some bouldering, some wall scaling, and if you really want a canyon experience bring some ropes and carabiners for rock climbing. Also, home to famous T.V. shows and movie’s including M.A.S.H., Race to Witch Mountain, and Planet of the Apes. For a guided experience, enjoy a two-hour Malibu Wine Hike through Saddlerock Ranch vineyard.
